can someone help me with some song ideas? (prince of tennis)

I have *every* single episode of Prince of Tennis, but not the movie.

I'm trying to make an AMV for a contest, and i've been doing film work/editing for about two years now and already made one AMV and started a few others, so i'm not a newbie or anything to this.

The problem is, i cannot seem to find a *single* song that fits this anime well!

Every song I find with remotely decent lyrics to fit the series in the way I want is either:

-super super slow and sad
-super heavy metal
-extremely too long (8 minutes plus)
-extremely too short (1 minute at max)

the theme i'm trying to do is;

basically show ryoma's growth, show him start out as he is at the beginning of the series, show him go through his matches and grow as a person, show the climatic moments of the series, and show scenes of him growing as a PERSON outside of tennis inbetween matches.

lyrics would hopefully have something to do with growing, maturing, but also if possible agression, dominance, confidence, an overall "i'm going to beat you/i'm going to attack you" nature, agressive nature to the music and lyrics themselves.

genre would be rock of course, but other genres aren't banned or anything. a good example of the "sound" i'm going for would be something like "Attack" by "30 seconds to Mars" or "Burn it Down" by "Avenged Sevenfold" or even "My Hero" by "Foo Fighters".

you wouldn't really get anything for helping me, just the satisfaction that you've helped me from losing my mind after searching through my song list of over 6,000 (legally bought or ripped from my cd's!) songs, lyrics databases, other AMV's, etc. ><

even just listing a band name with the general "feel" of the songs i mentioned or topic matter would be nice. ><

hmmmm not sure if i can help you with lyrics, but i think i can identify with the kind of pace you want with the video. these are my recommendations:

Just a Day, by Feeder

Hysteria, Time is running out or butterflies and hurricanes (possible lyric match) all by Muse

Almost anything by SR-71 (bit of an overdone band though)

West End Riot or Save the Day by Living End

that's just a few off the top of my head...

Hmm....Ryoma....a tough one to pick a song for....havent seen Prince of Tennis in a LONG time either....why am I thinking of Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway? O_o;; ...ignore that....hmm...rock song...sort of "growing" type lyrics....hmm...I'll have to get back to this forum. Im gonna look through all my cds....does it have to be in English?

the butterfly muse song i guess is the best right now lyrically but the actual song is really long and has this AMV-killing pause in the middle that leads into a piano solo...

so anyone else got any other ideas? >< ill credit you with finding the song if i use it when i submit it to a-m-v.org on the webpage.
