Question for IE7 Beta 2 users

Post by Lagamorph » Wed Feb 08, 2006 5:41 pm

I'm currently using the Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 as my browser, and I seem to be getting a bug when I'm using the search on the site. Basically the search results are all mis-aligned off to the right hand side of the screen rather than where they normally are. Is anybody else using the browser getting this trouble? It's fine when I use Firefox, just get the problem in IE7

Hey,

I haven't installed IE7b2 yet (downloading now), but I'm sure that if it's anything like IE6 as far as CSS implementations go, there are going to be lots of unique tweaks that will need to be done to make the site correctly displayed (unlike most other browsers like Firefox, Opera, etc). The trick will be to somehow have a single unified style sheet that will do that for both IE6 and IE7 (I'm not looking forward to figuring that out).

BTW, is does the IE7b2 allow you to run both that and IE6 on the same machine?

Hey,

Ok, I've tweaked the style sheet. It should work much better now. Let me know how it works for you.

Works perfectly now :D

Unforunatly I don't think you can use IE6 and IE7 on the same machine, at least on mine it just updated IE6 rather than did a seperate fresh install.
