Doubt that'll help. The FTP problems really don't sound like they're related to your Org account.
It might just be my account and password that doesn't work for this system. I have previously tried to upload a new video up here and with another computer. Not my own. It still didn't work.
Was that other computer on the same Internet connection?

Was that other computer on the same Internet connection?
Well, I don't know technically what that means but I was on Internet explorer on both computers. I was using my school's computer. It didn't work then either.

My school's computer uses Dial-up and it usually works when you do anything with it such as downloading and so on.

My computer uses DSL and is supposed to work.

I remember downloading an FTP client before uploading my very first video, back a while ago. Do you think that it just expired?

It's not just my computer that doesn't work, It seems to be all computers in my area that can upload a video. A friend of mine, who is joined to this site, can't upload a video either.
He gets the same error screens as I do. He lives pretty far away. I guess you can only upload depending on where you live.

that shouldn't have anything to do with being able to upload.
even if it is a bad firewall, you should turn it off for uploading.
even if you don't know if it'l work, passive mode is worth trying.

btw...what ftp client are you using?

Yes I am also getting that same problem i highly doubt its because the upload timed out because i tried to upload it directly as i got the kero username and password, I'm currently using Smart Ftp to upload and each time i try it tells me

An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
Client closed the connection.

I also tried to cancel teh upload and start all over from the beginning but no dice

So it's not just me who has this problem. I was thinking that it was just in my area of NC.

Kind of glad to know that I'm not alone in this.

I forgot to tell you that I don't know what client I'm using. My computer just seems to be able to upload on it's own. If I do have one, I didn't know it.

that helps. Internet Explorer has its own ftp client built in.
if you aren't using IE, you need to use an ftp (client side)
you can get an ftp client from this site: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... p_id=21558
...just make sure you have your firewall down when you upload.
if you just want to use IE, enter username:password@kero.animemusicvideos.org into the url bar
(but I'm sure that you already know this)

Question!

Post by Ninja_nia » Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:03 pm

Does Windows XP have an FTP client of it's own?

I just wanted to know. I know it's a stupid question.
