That's why most people don't edit for that long at a time.
I've edited for over 6 hours even when I worked over 100 hours a week.. damn those were the days.. I'd go to sleep and then dream I was still working..

Most of the videos I've posted on this site took around 4 hours each...........

I dont have a job or school, this is why I can spend 6-9 hours or more a day editing...

It really depends.

I have a couple of my early ones that I pulled together in a few hours, and some that have taken weeks. There are days I can edit for hours at a time (I have a home business, so I do AMV stuff while 'real' projects are rendering - or else I just don't sleep), while I can also go days without touching a project.

meh, some videos (mainly IRON CHEF) take 2 hours or less, but on average i think i would say about 6 hours... some videos have taken 8 some 40, 1 has taken me hundreds of hours,... over the course of a year and 8 months... but usually im quick with my editing...

It depends on the project for me really. I have a 30 second project that took me 4-5 hours of editing, not including compressing or ripping clips. then i have a 2minute video that took 5-6 hours of editing. And then i have a 3 minute video i have been working on since september and am currently 80% done with (but i take large gaps in working on my big projects). It all depends on what i am trying to do with the video. Any lip sync or effect work instantly causes drastic increase in editing time for me.

Ive been editing one like that for a while now just because i dont like how it ends no matter how many scenees i put there. I swear ive put almost the entire movie in 15 seconds and it didnt work.

I usually try and space out my amv hours(not like school and work gives me much of a choice these days). But usually one video can take anywhere from 10-20 hours then i go back and look it over in about 5 different compressions then send it to my betas, where they find something wrong no matter what i do and i redo what needs to be done and put it up. Though, all of my betas are new at betaing amvs so they dont catch stuff normal betas can. :s

I timed my editing time when I did "Lunar Gravity". Didn't count in the preparing work which was few hours a day for a couple of weeks. Actual editing took 25h in one weekend. Like Arigatomina, I too like it when I can concentrate on one thing.. Weekends are nice. That AMV was 5½ minutes long, and I think I'll also time my current epic project that's 8 minutes long. This time I can't do it in one weekend though :(

Now that might explain something :?
