The Serenity DVD doesn't have its own trailer on it?

Trailers are often hosted legally on the sites that produce the movies as well, if you can find no other option.

If you're asking about how to get the audio from the trailers on the Quicktime site, it depends one thing (possibly 2):

1) Was it put up after Quicktime 7 became the required viewer?

If yes (and in the case of Serenity, I believe this was the case, but even if it wasn't, it would still apply if you're using the HD version of the trailer), then rename the MOV file as an MP4 and use MP4Box (with or without the YAMB frontend) to extract the AAC stream. Then just use Winamp or dBPowerAMP or whatever else to decode it to WAV so you can edit with it. If the audio is 6-channel, I believe you will need to use Graphedit to decode it, however - this is because it has to downmix it to 2-channel stereo (for this, you'll need either CoreAAC or ffdshow set to decode AAC).

If the audio is not AAC (which would be the case for the old trailers), it can be one of two things - QDM or MP3. If it's MP3, it's tough to get out of there easily, but it can be done (my suggestion would be to rename as an MP4, extract the audio, open it in VDubMod's Streams List, and then immediately Demux to a new file, thus correcting the bad header - I think that's how it's done). If it's QDM (Q Design Music), then you can use TMPGEnc to do it as long as you've got the QTReader plugin.

Or heck, if you've got Quicktime Pro or VLC Player, you could just use that to decode the audio straight from the file itself.

That is surprising, I hadn't even noticed it. Check out IMDB.com for all kinds of links to trailers, may find something that's easy to kype the audio from. Good luck.
