The first 3 episodes of Gunbuster 2 were all fun and such, but episode 4.......WTF just......*inserts exclamatory statement about Gainax*

I sort of knew that Nono would be her own Buster Machine, but the events and images leading up to it gave me serious goosebumps. Those twins whose names escape me accidently woke a huge monster in its slumber in hope they can control to fight the space monsters. It turns out that huge one started to attack the space monsters AND everyone else in the base. Nono was able to summon forth her Buster Machine, and then through some mixture of a "magical girl" transformation sequence and that scene in End of Eva (I don't know which one, but I believe it's that one with the ghostly arms wrapping around some big black sphere), Nono became her own Buster Machine. In addition, to fighting that huge monster, Nono was able to CONTROL those space monsters (the ones that base was fighting against in the beginning) in order to assist her. The episode ended rather nicely with Nono being victorious.

Of course, this may help since Hideaki Anno was involved in this episode.

I love what I've seen so far. There's so much great stuff packed into so few episodes. I can't wait for the last two.

Episode 5, second to last episode!

Lots of angst and big explosions in this one after that whole incident with Nono being...

...her own Die Buster and a "goddess" of the space monsters. Heck, it seems like the head hanchos is going to depend on Nono for now on since the Topless were useless against that last attack.

I wonder why Nono left the battle when a sure-proof plan of destroying that huge ass monster.
