That Darned Line

Post by Takefuji » Sun Dec 25, 2005 9:44 pm

It's a problem thats been bugging my sisters and I for quite some time, and it never used to be a problem until recently O.o; When saving a video using downloaded footage, our video program Video Explosion Deluxe will save a video with a line through the video, shown here:

Image

The line isn't always near the top, either. It can be near the bottom, at the sides . . . all over, really. Sometimes there are two lines O.o;

Now that our DVD collections have expanded, it's rare that we use downloaded video footage anyways. But still, if we get downloaded series that are really good quality that we would like to use, any video we make gets that line. So, does anyone know exactly what we're doing to get that line, or how to fix it? It would be a great help :)

Have you tried converting your footage to a lossless codec like HuffYUV or serving it via AVISynth scripts before editing with it?

Haven't tried AVISynth yet, but the original file won't load into VED so I have to rip and save the clips seperate with VirtualDub as Huffy's and other codecs. So far, no luck.
