Video not showing on timeline
i'm using bleach video, which i encoded in xvid, 640x480, typical rip. For a video editor i'm using premiere pro, the vidoe will play in premiere little box above the import/file list menu, but in the monitor/timeline its just black..
anyone know how i can fix this... i really don't want to re-incode my rips..

Re: Video not showing on timeline
to my understanding, you are gonna have to reencode your videos to some lossless codec, or you could use the AVS method and just use the VOBs.yanta wrote:i'm using bleach video, which i encoded in xvid, 640x480, typical rip. I think most people around here tend to rely on ffdshow to render all their vids, mainly because it can handle most things you throw at it.yanta wrote:ok, also for playing video wat do you guys use for codec packs, klite full ?
5 gb an episode? you sure? sounds kinda small to me, i've had final video renders that come up to about that size in Huffyuv...yanta wrote:haha wow.. ok i just tried huff... and looks like 5 gigs an episode, thats silly...
If you need to save disc space i suggest you try the clipping method of editing, that's explained in EADFAG and in VicBond007's guide to using DVD footage, but Vicbond007's guide is looking a bit outdated nowadays...

A lot of ppl use the AMVapp too provided in that link. you could probably just uninstall all ur old codecs, make a restore point or a backup b4 you do just in case something goes wrong.
I'd personally just use the vobs / avs method, each episode is about 1gig for Noir.
