Seeking a bit of advice

Post by Magishine » Mon Nov 14, 2005 8:35 pm

I've been making AMVs for a good while now. However I've run into a little bit of a problem.

I've recently brought a mac, and I've been searching everywhere for the perfect software/hardware to rip video from my tapes and DVDs.

When I was on a pc, I had a webcam with a video input jack in which I could connect my VCR/PS2 to get around the fact that my PC didn't have a DVD drive. My iBook has a dvd drive, and since most of my collection is DVDs, I would be appreciative if anyone could recommend some good software for making clips and whatnot. I know I can't be the only mac user on here.

Anyway, thanks in advance. [/i]

The best editing software for a Mac in my opinion is Final Cut Pro. It's the Mac equivilent of Premiere (pricewise, too). Although, every newer Mac comes with iMovie, which is like WMM, but it has more features.

I think to rip dvd on a mac you could use some program called Toast or something like that, assuming you couldnt use dvd shrink or dvd decrypter
