I guess some people just really want to know how certain things were done...

if its funny and entertaining I wouldnt mind seeing a "making of" but it really depends on the content and how much of a farce it is

I don't see a problem. Making of the Beast made me appreciate the technical trickery of it all better. In another case, mayhaps a "Making Of" could show the creative trickery behind something, too.

I like special features, but only certain videos are enhanced when the "secrets" are revealed. I didn't mind seeing a couple at AWA, though a few I certainly could have done without.
