KEXP is a listener-supported radio station that is affiliated with Paul Allen's Experience Music Project in Seattle. Although they have a local broadcast installation, they also provide Internet streams, podcasts, and source for cel phones. They also have a CD-quality stream, but you need a big pipe to listen to it. It's all commercial-free, of course.
"Eclectic" is how they describe their selections - which include local unsigned artists. It's not really my cup-a-cola, but they do have one of the largest audiences in Internet radio.

That's not strictly the case; I've seen some well-known names (like Ray Charles) on the playlists. But they do make a point of highlighting new artists, some of their DJs more than others. The names on tonight's playlist are all unknown to me - not that I get around the music world much.SOAD2k8 wrote:So all the bands that are played on this station are all unsigned? If so, thats pretty sweet!
