How about conecting a few manga scans togeather and having a camera pan around them. THAT would be a cool comic effect, which I would lovingly abuse if I could think of a good way to. Sadly my amv ideas which rest on the bright and green side of the field are lacking. Its crap 'cause I love messing around with combustion and seeing how far I can push effects in vegas.

I was thinking about something like that. But more along the idea of have the page of a comic book. And what you do is zoom in to the first box. And move along a few of them showing the scene to each box with the words and such. Then when you get to a animated box the minute it the frame comes in you play it. I bet that would be cool.

That second last sentence of yours didnt make much sence. But yeah, using still frames and video in comic blocks would be cool. As would having a character jump out of a frame. It should bre relatively easy to create. The hardest part would be making the masked character jumping out of a frame look natural. I'd love to do something like that but comedy is more zarx's area.

the second to last sentance was try to describe this. Each page in a comic book is seperated into a number of boxes for each 'story board frame'. Each frame consists of a picture with words or action. My idea was show large view of the comic book page than zoom in and slide from frame to frame until you get to the one that is animated than have it fade into an animation or move into it. It would make for a good effect. It could be a very good sentimental video as well.

That's kind of neat. I wish I'd thought of it, since I've been thinking about doing a video for a series that has a short OAV and a long manga series. Which I won't, because it's too much work and I'm a lazyass. But that's a situation in which that effect could be really interesting.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I've tried the effect out and was satisfied with the results (definately looked cool), however, it doesn't seem to fit into the overall flow of my video as much as I thought it would.

Thanks again.

That comic book effect would work excellent in a sad drama video.
