if you really want to get the amv up you might want to consider using Firezilla for the time being (until you figure out what's wrong)
other than that I don't know too much about CuteFTP ^_^;;

Might be worth your time to bring the .avi out so it's just in "My AMV's".
Be sure to check your file to see that it's the right filesize; There have been a couple of times where my FTP killed my 58MB file...it ended up being about 100 KB.
I'd also advise you to scan for ad-ware and viruses.

hope that works

Hey jkgohan,

It looks like you are dragging the folder containing the video instead of the video itself. In the screenshot here:

http://img293.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... opy4cs.gif

...the file listing window is obscrured. If you drag up the horizontal bar just above where the words "2 files with [number] bytes" are cut in half, you can see the list of files in the directory. Drag the file into the root folder (the one that comes up whenever you first connect to the FTP server). Once you've done that, the system should work for you.

I hope this helps.

Phade.

To fix the current upload, you can drag the file in the "remote site" pane up to the ".." folder and drop it there. This will move the file up the root directory. Then, double-click on the ".." folder, right-click on the folder named "Bebop-BlackLabel-InThisRiver" and select "delete" from the menu that will appear. This will leave you with a file named "Bebop-InThisRiver2.avi" in the directory named /.

You can then close FileZilla and go back to try and confirm the video again. Phade's post about the overly-small pane will help you out in the future.

On the left side, FileZilla is showing you stuff on your computer. On the right side, it is showing you what is in the current directory on the server. Dragging a file or folder from the left side to the right side will upload that file or folder to the server. Dragging a file or folder from the right side to the left side will download the file from the server to your hard drive.

On the left side, the top (of the two on the left) pane is showing you the folders on your computer. The bottom (of the two on the left) is showing you the files inside that folder. When you upload your AMVs to the Org local hosting, you will want to drag the file from the bottom (of the two on the left) pane to the right side.

I asked you to drag the file that was on the right side onto the ".." folder that was also on the right side. This tells the server to move the file without having to delete it and then re-upload it.
