problems with downloads

when i download a video my media player connects but it says error downloading codec. I get the audio but no video any ideas.

Also, download the video to your hard drive and THEN play it.

Try getting all of the common codecs if you haven't already.
DivX, Xvid and Huffyuv are pretty much all you need.
I'd also suggest getting winamp
it's free and plays just about every file type (doesn't play .rm and might not play quicktime files)
