Releasing Videos (When should you do it?)

I'm not really a contest person; and unless I was in some contest which required me NOT to release it, then, well...

I throw out my video the moment I think it's done. That's the only way it will ever work for me. I'm no great exposure strategist, but it keeps me personally satisfied

I should also perhaps mention that I released my last video about 10 hours after even the first idea of doing it crossed my mind, while some others I held back for a long, long time waiting for beta feedback and revision. So it's all really relative.

That said, I rarely release videos publically before at least a couple of people other than myself saw them and approved. I think there's only been one exception to that rule; so I do pay some attention to what the others think of its state - even just to sort of make sure I'm sane and that what I'm seeing on screen is actually there

Personally, I'd recommend not releasing such a video <i>anytime</i> in December (from personal experience).

Anime USA is a convention in Virginia. The amv contest is ran by VicBond007.
