i always wondered about the fansub sources cuz of the amount of naruto amvs (not to leave out other popular series like Bleach) but how do get such great quality and no subtitles, this includes credit-less intro which i have noticed are used in tons of naruto vids. i always thought i would have to buy the fansubbed dvds cuz the subs were an option. right?

No, you can get sub-less DVDs by buying R2 DVDs from Japan.SpLiF_3d wrote:i always wondered about the fansub sources cuz of the amount of naruto amvs (not to leave out other popular series like Bleach) but how do get such great quality and no subtitles, this includes credit-less intro which i have noticed are used in tons of naruto vids. i always thought i would have to buy the fansubbed dvds cuz the subs were an option. right?![]()

Well, both EADFAG and VicBond's guide presuppose a modest level of intelligence and the ability to read middle-school English, so I can see how either of those could be a problem.Rurounikeitaro wrote:Buying the DVD's is a great idea, but going through VicBond's guide to DVD footage is a pain in the ass!

Seriously, don't believe this. Ripping DVDs is a proven method and it's easy if you just follow the instructions.

It's easy to rip off from DVDs the rips without subtitles, if you can avoid them, why rip files with them? :OBasharOfTheAges wrote:No, you can get sub-less DVDs by buying R2 DVDs from Japan.SpLiF_3d wrote:i always wondered about the fansub sources cuz of the amount of naruto amvs (not to leave out other popular series like Bleach) but how do get such great quality and no subtitles, this includes credit-less intro which i have noticed are used in tons of naruto vids. i always thought i would have to buy the fansubbed dvds cuz the subs were an option. right?![]()

It's because Naruto and Bleach haven't been released on DVD here yet, so the only way to get DVD quality, or even to just get the show without subtitles, is by buying the R2s.Michele wrote:It's easy to rip off from DVDs the rips without subtitles, if you can avoid them, why rip files with them? :OBasharOfTheAges wrote:No, you can get sub-less DVDs by buying R2 DVDs from Japan.SpLiF_3d wrote:i always wondered about the fansub sources cuz of the amount of naruto amvs (not to leave out other popular series like Bleach) but how do get such great quality and no subtitles, this includes credit-less intro which i have noticed are used in tons of naruto vids. i always thought i would have to buy the fansubbed dvds cuz the subs were an option. right?![]()
It's also possible that half the videos using creditless intros just found high quality fansubs and used Photoshop. *shrug*

The first pain is it's 10 megabytes. The second is one would have to install Acrobat just to read it.Rurounikeitaro wrote:Buying the DVD's is a great idea, but going through VicBond's guide to DVD footage is a pain in the ass! "I'll never get to use my GTO DVD's!" I highly suggest fansubs, in decent quality.
