Otakon Saturday Lunch?

Perhaps I am a bit late in even mentioning this, but I know a number of creators are not going to be in town by the dinner on Thursday and traditionally we seem to go out for lunch after the AMV Panel on Saturday (ends at around lunch time) so I was wondering if people would be interested?

It ususally seems like most of the editors already go to the panel to begin with, it's already lunch time and we all just go down together. Nothing is planned or any reservations made and yet we've been fine two years in a row. Perhaps I am jinxing it by even mentioning it instead of letting things to impromptu >_>.

In any case, I'll be at the panel and I imagine the same thing will happen again so I just wanted to point it out in case people were going to skip the panel and still wanted to meet people (say after the panel).

Yes yes, I know. I'll get in touch with one of the panel-going editors (probably dwp) after the contest, and we'll go from there.

People like "you will be ignored" people, or literally any people? I'll be at the creation panel. Dressed like a freak, but errr, I promise I'll be very quiet and stay out of all the pictures?

I don't believe anyone has ever been excluded from going out to lunch and as I said, it's not like anything is ever planned. It's kinda impromptu every year like "Hey, who wants to get lunch together?" right after the panel and perhaps I'm destroying that randomness by even mentioning it

By no means is anyone unwelcome and I look forward to meeting a number of new people who I have only had the chance to talk to via internet messenger clients or these forums.

The "will be quiet in the corner, stay out of photos and pay for things" offer is still up if anyone does want to invite me. I'll be around.

Obviously, it's because nobody likes you and therefore we purposely excluded you in the past.

And you're right, anyone who wears green is truly a freak.

No, I just mean nobody was interested. No need to be melodramatic. Just explaining my cluelessness about how these things work.

And dude, Kagura IS a freak if you've seen the series.

You're all lucky I won't be acting in character too.

Yeah, who was that guy at the lunch last year with the green spandex, huge eyebrows, and stick of Mentos? Seriously.

I won't be in attendance this year, but I hope it goes just as well as last year's. (The lunch, not the panel... I hope the panel goes <i>better</i> than last year's. Specifically, who is the moderator this year?)

Well as I've said, no one has ever been excluded and thus everyone is invited. Not that I run the thing (nor would I want to), but yeah I've never seen anyone excluded or told to go elsewhere.

So yeah, if you need someone to invite you, I'd certainly like it for you to attend if you can. That is if you're not asleep by the time the panel is over >_>.
