Subtitle use to relate AMV story – good use or cheat?

i think subtitles can only work to further the story if NOBODY talks during the whole thing. then again, if ur syncing mouth w/ lyrics and THAT doesnt explain wats goin on, then ya, something is wrong with ur AMV. If ur gonna do an AMV and ur using a love song, use a romantic anime w/o subtitles and do ur very best to sync it up. the best AMV's ive EVER seen use this basic stradegy.
