Dunno. They both qualify (if you mean GITS the 1st movie).I leave it to your personal choise. :)
If you ask me GITS is really suitable. But PB is also a really good choice and it's not an anime which is often used.

OK, I think I finally got a replacement for Appleseed. I could use Neon Genesis Evangelion (for the love of god i hope I spelled that right), although I think that the 2nd Rennaissance from the Animatrix DVD would work the best, although that would be a little wierd concidering the song.

My part is ready from 3 days now. Think again do we need a overlaps becouse the parts starts and end very suddenly and without overlaps I think that it will look shity.

If it's shitty f/b/lame  the shitty coordinator - ME

Here are some details for all of you:
resolution 640x480, 4:3 aspect ratio (if your footage is 16:9, crop the black borders)
Frame rate: 29.97
export in huffyuv (we'll think of how we'll send later)
Those who have perfect quality can use divx with a high bitrate (2000-3000kbps)
avi format of course
Nothing else comes to mind right now.
