Ring Tones As Art?

Post by TaranT » Sun May 29, 2005 2:26 am

A mobile phone ring tone based on the sound of a revving Swedish moped was expected to top the British singles chart on Sunday.

Through Friday, "Crazy Frog Axel F," the first tune created for mobile phones to cross into mainstream music charts, was already outselling the new single of the group Coldplay by about four to one...

...almost all sales of the "Crazy Frog Axel F" came from retail stores selling the CD single...

"This song is incredibly irritating and puerile and we're still trying to understand why people like it"....

i am soooooooo gona record the audio onto my phone, set it as the ringtone and take a pic of the frog with my mob's crapy camera and set it as my walpaper. No way in hell I'm paying $8 for a low quality audio file and picture who's quality cant compete with anything bit a digital watch.

Anyway, abut the song. Its iritating, but that's what maeks it catchy. And it in one's will to iritate all around them that the true beauty of such a piece comes to life.

I fucking hate that thing. It ruined a great song, and it's goddamn annoying.
