I need help ripping my footage

okay, ive read the guide i have all the programs...so i open DVD decrytper thingy and i put my dvd in my drive and it still says no readers detected what am i doning wrong?

sometimes you need to play the dvd first (in windows media player, powerdvd, or whatever) for dvddecrypter to work.
