Premiere Pro Audio Help

Whenever a export a movie and then go to virtual dub to reencode it a smaller size the audio is unable ot be rendered. The AUDIO settings when i go to export it in Premiere are:
Compressor: Uncompressed
Sample Rate: 88200hz
Sample Type: 24-bit
Channels: Stereo
Interleave: 1 Frame
I just wanna know if i'm doing somthing wrong with the audio settings that make the audio unable to render in virtual dub for rencoding. I can import the wav file through virtual dub but i edited in premiere so there isn't any point to doing that.

Whoa whoa, why is your sample rate 88.2KHz and your bit depth 24 bits?

if you're performing certain types of mixing, upping the bit and sample rates can improve fidelity.

however, if you're going to sample it back down for dvd mastering or distrobution, its pointless to up the bit-depth.

the sampling rate is fine if you drop it back down to 44.1khz in the end because thats a simple downsample. But from 24 to 16 bit....that could not only cause compression problems for Vdub, but sound crappy later.
