ACen2k5 Dinner?

I'm very interested in going to this dinner. I'll be in Chicago by Friday morning.... Hopefully this'll be fun, and hopefully there won't be any BRIDGE OF DEATH~! to walk across.

Oh god, I hate the Bridge of Death! I try to only visit the dealer's room ONCE.. that way I only have to walk the damn bridge one time (Other than when I have to go over it to get to registration)

Well, it'll probably either be dinner or lunch on Saturday then. It'd be nice if I can get all of your contact information (such as a cell phone or which room you guys will be staying in before the con so we can organize it and get as many creators together for the lunch. I'm on spring break right now, so I'm not online at all (I had to come to the library to make this post and I'm only allowed on for 30 minutes). But it would definitely be cool to have some pizza. I've never had an authentic Chicago pizza though; I'd really like to try some.

Saturday is pretty tough and from what portions of the schedule I know of. I think Saturday Night is Iron Chef (7 - 10) and thus trythil, myself and a few others will probably not be able to attend since we *have to* be at this event.

Saturday in the day is *really* busy *all the time* at any con. I also think ashy, myself and bogo's panel (the old person panel

) is at 1 or 2 then, but that's not exactly lunch-time either.

I'd suggest Friday Night, but then again am not sure if the Pillows concert is then. To be honest though, I think no matter what time you pick, there will be a conflict. Just gotta pick the most convenient I guess. Don't mind me

.

And yes, you *must* try Chicago pizza

Best to do the dinner on Friday or Sunday, even if some people can't come, most peopel will be able to make it those two days since there's less going on at the con.

Darksied: The Bridge of Death, being the big long-ass bridge between the hotel and the con center, which unfortunately, turns every which way, and is a 1/8 - 1/4 mile walk just to cross the street, basically...

I could be mistaken, but I do believe they were referring to AWA's Bridge of Death to get to Carraba's for the AMV Dinner. I do know what you're referring to at ACen though, but the AWA one is like seriously...death.

Out of curiousity, how many people are gonna be in Thursday? Obviously with no programming, makes it A LOT easier

. I know of a few folks (namely in my rooms) that are, so I wonder if the majority are.

I'm not getting there until Friday because I'm still within my first 90 days of work, and don't wanna take too many days off. Otherwise, I'd be there on Thursday. Although, if for some odd reason I get Thursday off, then I'd love to come out, but I have to pick someone up on my way, so it'd be a lot cheaper if I just wait til Friday morning to leave. Perhaps next year.

I'll be there Friday, because paying for an extra night at the hotel is too expensive. I'd love to go Thursday, but probably can't. Funds just ain't right.
