working out resolutions?

hiyaz, i wanna ask sumthing about the resolutions of your amv. i was wondering how you work out the resolution sizes for '' 4:3 '' and '' 16:9''

If you want to figure it out inside VirtualDub (or VirtualDubMod), here's a filter that can calculate it for you. However, I would suggest using this to just attain the dimensions and then plug those amounts into the normal VDub resizing filter or one of AVISynth's resizing functions. The reason being is that this filter is a tad on the slow side.
