Analysing Footage Question

Post by MousePotato » Wed Mar 02, 2005 1:43 pm

Im having trouble figuring out how to treat Texhnlyze footage as DUIndex is telling me that about 85% of the footage is FILM and in order to Force Film it It needs to be 95% FILM. Has anyone ever delt with Texhnlyze footage before and figured out how to interprate it?

Thanks

What happens if you just index it without Force FILM and run IVTC on it with AVISynth? If it's showing up as 85% FILM in DGIndex, then you'd think it should IVTC pretty cleanly...

85% suggest to me a hybrid dvd. You should check out the page Interpreting Your DVD Footage in the guide and look up hybrid dvds.

Thanks! I forgot to mention that occasionally throughout any given ep of Texhnlyze there are occurences where there is Interlaced video switching in rapid succesion witht the 85% FILM. Im trying to pinpoint what effect the creators used which would require them to insert little bits of interlaced video here and there.

By the way I want to point out something about the feedback that alot of people get when asking questions that might be answered by reading the giudes. BUT I will not post it on this thread as to not go off topic so that I might get more imput on my orginal question. I'll state it more clearly too:

If any of you have ever delt with TEXHNLYZE footage before please feel free suggest any video cleaning techniques that you used to clean up the footage; (ie. Inverse telecine, resizing, etc.) Or what flaws you have found while dealing with it.
