Oh no wonder why Pocky said "the New Found Glory Award goes to Fighting..." and then you stopped him. I was wondering if there was some special award they forgot. lol. But nothing beats taunting Senta with his song being played everytime they tryed to annouce the action winner.

Anyway I also I entered two vids in the contest and only one of my videos got in. Eventhough I thought my second video was better than my first vid but I see why they choose the first one because it was more crowd friendly the other one would have put you to sleep because of how serious and slow paced it was. If you haven't figured it out yet look at some of my newer releases and you'll find out easily which one I'm talking about. As for Katsucon 10 I submitted two back then and niether made the finals I didn't complain to the judges or staff. Was I disappointed yes.

Only thing I can say is to keep on trying eventually you'll make the finals. As for some of the content in the videos. I believe there was one questionable one using something very close to hentai.

When I saw Virginia G Sheehan on the ballot I became very, very nervous that that was what was going to be on my title card. I do NOT go by the name Virginia. Even my professors call me Ginny - I just put it on the entry form because it asked for my real first name. And my middle initial is M, not G ^_^*

I was actually RELIEVED to see that the only mistake they made on my card was "Maruto", because I would have had a cow if Virginia was on it.

While the ballot is not nearly as amusing as Katsucon 8's, it still shows a need for effort.

Yeah.. I was victim to their spelling mistakes as well. It's obvious their attention to detail needs improvement.

But I agree with Brakus... complaining about is not going to reduce the problems. If it did, then these types of things wouldn't of repeated this year in the contest, as they had with the past contests.

Yes one issue I have is the fact that most people had their actual names given.

In my case I don't care so much because well...... my name is kinda known because I staff conventions. Heck my mailing address is public for that reason. However for others that might be a big thing. I know of fellow staffers with other conventions who have a seperate email account for convention stuff just because they rather keep as many layers of privacy as possible over the internet.

However if someone gives their screen name it should be used. I would rather have had my Illia name used as hey that's my org handle. Heck I use it in various places and hear various attempts at pronouncing it at conventions. That's true for many people here.

I think that should just be a common curteousy and a bit of common sense.

Of course this is an annual ordeal. However it's up to the coordinator to catch anything that goes wrong and actually address it.
