Ani-Quest 1 AMV Contest (Submission now being accepted)
Yes we are now accepting submissions for Ani Quest 1. Here are the rules for the contest.
1. Submissions must be recieved by August 26, 2005
2. 2 Entries per creator/ studios.
3. No Hentai, nudity, violence (excessive), racial or verbal obscenities.
4. No subtitle footage unless you put them in there.
5. No English Dialogue from the anime, You may use the Japanese voices and put in your own subtitles.
6. Videos must have been created after November 1st 2004
7. Videos length must be at least 1 minute long and at the max it can be 6 minutes with some lead way, but don't push it.
8. Categories for the contest are Romantic/Sentimental, Dramatic/Serious, Action, Upbeat/Rythm, and Comedy(Trailer/Commerical are included in this category but must follow the 1 minute rule.).
9. Formats accepted are wmv, mpeg1, mpeg2, avi, DivX. (No guarntee with wmv formats since I would have to do the re-encoding myself. So if you could use TMPGEnc and convert them into Mpeg1 or 2 format for me that would be great.)
10. Videos must be sent with a submission form. (Which is below all of the rules.
11. Please no bumpers for the videos, or studio logos we will make the bumpers ourselves to keep them consistant.
12. Please include second blank footage before and after the video. (This will not count towards your video time. This will just make it easier to put the dvd together.)
12a. Please insure that you encode your CD-R/ DVD-R properly.
13. Anyone may enter the contest except Ani-Quest Staff.
14. Ani-Quest is not responsible for videos being lost or misplace in the mail. Please make sure you give your video plunty of time to get to us.
15. All videos must be in by the deadline, we will give a 2 day lead way but that's about it.
16. You don't have to be present for the prize, but if you do win we'll talk about shipping cost of the trouph later.

Prizes are the winners of each category will recieve a trouph and a certificate. Also the Judges Choice Award will recieve a trouph as well as best in show. The winners of each category will be based off of the judges scoring. As for 2nd and 3rd place of each category you'll also recieve a certificate as well. Also the top 3 videos in this year best in show and 2006's best in show will compete against each other in The Battle of the Greats. The best videos voted on by the fans in the past 2 years.

Well it looks like we have right now about 8-10 judges for the contest so we should get some good results. And the attendence size for this event will be about 350-600 people. Since 600 is the most we can have in a day. Still a nice size crowd and trouphs for the winners of all categories and Best in Show and more. Help support Ani-Quest in there first amv contest. I maybe able to get some more prizes.

Just a thought: a brand new anime convention can attract 1000-2000 people easily. (Anime Boston had something like 4000 in its first year.)
