Some time back I had an issue trying to make an amv with a song that was nearly six minutes long. I was having issues in that the audio would skip randomly when playing in Premiere, and even if something appeared to me timed to the audio correctly on my timeline, it wasn't timed properly in the rendered version. Everyone told me it was because it was a long song and Premiere had issues with that, and I was just out of luck.
Well now I'm working on an AMV with a 3min, 21sec song and it's giving me the same issues. I have another AMV on my hard drive with a longer song than that, and it's working perfectly fine. So, I'm here for a second opinion. Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on, or give me suggestions on what to do? Before you ask, I've already tried restarting Premiere, and rebooting my computer.
I'm running Premiere 6.5 under Windows XP. I have 10gig free on the hard drive I'm using to make my video, 3gig free on my OS drive, and 512mb of ram. The audio file plays perfectly fine in WinAmp, yet skips in Premiere. I have another AMV that works just fine without any skipping issues at all. Any help would be much appreciated.
