Oddly enough I find more enjoyment preparing source video than actually editing. (Well... at least until the end of editing is in sight. From then on editing becomes very fun for me.) This is probably why I don't make too many videos yet have a lot of source video on my harddrives righ now. >_>
I personally don't mind if people remaster my videos and give credit where it is due. However, in terms of video source quality there isn't too much to improve upon since I already filter my DVD sources in AviSynth.

hehe.. same here, just about every one of my videos starting from "Run away with me" up has a scene that is totally changed from the original anime to fit a scene in the video I couldn't match, in a way to make it look like it was original footage ;pVlad G Pohnert wrote:I don't think anyone would want to remaster any of my stuff considering I have atleast one composition shot in the video somewhere, even if it's not noticable.... Interesting to see how long it would take someone to find out that an actual shot does not exist![]()
Vlad
I'm curious if people ever actually notice them...

hehe totally me here too. Editing doesn;t get fun to me until the end is near, then its realy fun, and actually when the video starts to actually get good. (IMO anyway)doughboy wrote:good to see there's another member in the band.Corran wrote:Oddly enough I find more enjoyment preparing source video than actually editing. I totally forgot to post on the topic I had originally intended to before you guys distracted me ;p (one track mind here)
Anyway, I think if you take a classic idea, like something old, and remake it just using the original idea, NOT the AMV as a refrence, using your own footage (different anime even might be better) and totally redoing it from scratch in YOUR style, THEN its probably Morally and techncially OK to do so. BUT I'd still give original credit to the maker of the original video. (sortof like the many remakes of Peter Pan and stuff like that, they say Based on the original film by so and so, or something to that effect)
A diferent boat to me is when your video idea is Inspired by someone elses... Kinda like my Accidentally in love video was Inspired by SnhKnive's A Typical Love story, Its a completely different video, but the style was inspired by watching his. That I think is ok. and while I don't think it was realy necissery, although Corteous, I gave credit to it with a link in my video description.
