Anti-Sasuke Vid

Because I strongly dislike Sasuke from Naruto, I'd love to see an AMV that pokes fun at his "eternal angst". He is always brooding, always pissed off, always... cliche. There are some people that don't like him, but he has quite a few dedication videos here at a-m-v.org.

I'd like to see a video that has some tongue-in-cheek humor (perhaps by a punk band) that makes fun of an "emo" type kid... melodramatic and whiny. This kind of song would work perfectly for Sasuke.

I saw a vid a while back to Liam Lynch's "The Happy Song". It was a pretty good AMV that poked fun at Sasuke. However, I'd love to see a vid that has lyrics that truly make fun of that little jerk.

I'd appreciate it if anyone suggests a song or takes up this offer!

Do you think Why Does This Always Happen to Me? (Weird Al) would work?

It's a person singing about all of this terrible stuff happening, then saying how much it inconveniences him

Trust me, I've tried doing parody in many forms for many years now. It works much, much better if you parody the silly parts of the things you love. Humor born from hatred generally isn't funny.

Good point. This parody would probably work better if I had a larger-scale parody in mind... One in which each character had a specific "role" to fill in the song.

"This is the hell that is my life" is a song by Zebrahead (i think that's their name.) And featuring Sakura tries to get Sasuke to notice her. of course sasuke doesn' like it and tries to get away.

y hate sasuke i mean hes not my favorite charecter but part of his charecter is to be mysterios an all the things tht u apperently hate witch makes him good for the music that is about revenge an hartred an stuff like tht like the amv called sasukes fight an iner conflict the reason him an the song go toghether is his charcter an his traits oya an my fave char is shino who is also mysterios an silent wich makes them seem like they might be bad or somthin bad has hapend in there life

Is english your first language?

Back to what you said, It all depends on you preferences. Some people can love a character for certain reasons while others hate them for the SAME reasons.

Exactly, Got2Maskit. Even though Sasuke was cool in some episodes (namely, the Haku fight), he quickly became selfish, whiny, and overdramatic. Far too much time is dedicated to his repetitive history, and we are forced to watch it several times over in the manga and anime.

Besides this point, Sasuke is weak. Even if he was mysterious at first, we quickly began to see the true face of Sasuke: a selfish, hateful, rude person. Even after he began to show some emotions towards his teammates (saving them and deciding that they were important in his life), Sasuke suddenly gets up and leaves. He decides that his own hopeless quest is more important than trying to improve himself and his life. Perhaps Sasuke isn't entirely to blame, but the endless emphasis on his past suggests that we should feel sorry for him or consider him "cool".

Kakashi is just as mysterious and he still manages to be cool... He's brave and weird and down-to-earth. I don't always like the mysterious characters (at times I do), but Sasuke is just an example of angst gone wrong. He's a selfish kid that blames everything on everyone else... He's a whiner, not a doer.

Those are my 2 cents on Sasuke. However, you're allowed to like him, shinodude. I just feel that you tried to tell us that everyone should like Sasuke when there are clearly far more people that hate him. (or the current Sasuke in the anime/manga).
