One Too Many - Interest Gauge

Again, I am suggesting an AMV Project. Man, I should stop doing this, since I obviously suck!

Anyway.

The true name of the project is "Fuel's One Too Many".

The subject: Take whataver song you want as long as it's by a single artist(Fuel, in this case) and make an AMV to it.

Catch? Shove as many damn special effects in there as possible.

It's basically a "One Too Many" special effects in a video. Or, DDR without the DDR, as one would say.

I was thinking of changing the artist to Madonna, or maybe someone else we could all agree on. Give suggestions?

I need 15 people interested to start this up. The deadline for the project would be September, if we get off the ground, but may be pushed back if people <strike>demand</strike> suggest it.

Sure, i'm for this.. but Fuel isn't really hyperactive enough to supply the "need" for a lot of effects..

I know these bands are overplayed, some of them aren't, but i'd suggest;

As for the music, i'd say Fuel is not the right choice, Madonna sounds good. Using full length songs sems to be a bad idea, not too many people will sit through 15 completely unrelated 4 minute tracks pretending to be one amv.

Like I said though.. if you're going for a lot of effects, there is not a lot "happening" in madonna and fuel songs. Aka the instruments are not going berserk like they would in As I Lay Dying, or there is not a boatload of instruments like in Type 0 Negative or The Mars Volta, nor is there a lot of rapid rolls like in Slipknot or System of a Down etc.

You're thinking too big.
Some effects are very simple.
Like, cutting out an anime person and putting it infront of a cloud arrangement. Effects can be sentimental, too.

I said Fuel at first, because I was listening to their "Something Like Human" album. And although I had had this idea for a while, Fuel and Madonna seemed to have a nice mix of sentimental and rock-y songs.

When I say "Shove as many effects as humanly possible into an AMV", that doesn't mean I am thinking of eye-bleeding, seizure inducing, or "wow, that's energetic" effects.

There's a wide range of special effects out there, and just as there are different categories of AMVs, different special effects can be used for different "Moods".

Nightowl's "Mad world" is a good example of sentimental effects.

Ohhh, ok. When you said a lot of effects, I thought you meant something even more effect-abusing than Toushin or something like that.. aka very energetic and effects coming at you from every angle etc.
