Vegas Movie Studio goes for $100. (Usually on sale for $70-$80.)
There's a difference.

Sadly any studio program is a laggy piece of crap that takes forever to even trim a clip.dokool wrote:That's a waste for a novice. First off, Studio 8 is about as advanced as WMM2 if not less. Second, why get a capture card when you can just rip the DVD and get *perfect* quality instead of just-short of perfect?genestarwind21122 wrote:I agree Adobe Premier, yeah its a little bit harder to use but it is a nice program. For someone just starting out I would recommend Pinnacle Studio 8 with the DVC 150 for capture ($150). It has nice capture quality and the editing in it is similar to adobe priemer but somewhat easier.
I personally prefer Premiere. If you're in college you can get it on student discount @ www.journeyed.com, if you're not you can always shop around on eBay and try to find 6.5 for cheap.

Now your going to bust my old way of editing. Just giving you a hard time man. But seriously, take a look at Belldandy's Memories. That was done in Pinnacle 8. And I captured the footage. Same thing with the Over Dramatic Uber Sentimental Outlaw Star Music Video. I had capture my footage because I dislike ripping dvd's to my computer. Plus you can get excellent quality from the 150 and most of the Kenshin vids I see are crap because people say that's the way the scenes are in the series. With the capture card and Pinnacle 8 at least you can adjust the brightness when you capture and make the scene more visible.dokool wrote:That's a waste for a novice. But you could also adjust the brightness in Premiere and not tamper with your source footage from the start.genestarwind21122 wrote: Plus you can get excellent quality from the 150 and most of the Kenshin vids I see are crap because people say that's the way the scenes are in the series. And I would look at your vids, except your profile is strangely empty. Oh, wait, there's a link to another profile. I thought having multiple accounts was against site rules...

The records show that you logged into your videos account just today, therefore you must know the password. And even if you don't, you can go to the login page and get it e-mailed to you.genestarwind21122 wrote:Heck I don't even know what the password is to the other account for the main page log in. I only have the forums.
Last I checked, there was only one password for each account, for use on both the main site and the forums.

I logged into Gene Starwind 21122 which is my main account which has my videos in it today yes. But if you check the other account I haven't even touch it and that is when it was created 5/6/2003. I've been trying to get admins to change my forum name to Gene Starwind 21122 so that way it is one account and not a split. But until then I have to keep it like this.

I can tolerate it. $400 for a separate video window and boxes seems like a bit much to me.
