as far as i'm aware you can't rip the footage directly from the disc on your pc, you'll need a video capture card, a fast pc, loadsa RAM and a fuckoff huge HD.

Since a XboX uses a special DVD format it takes a whole lot of work to rip anything off of them. Capture card is the easiest way to go. Good luck....

The new ATI Radeon products support S-Video input and come with a program that captures in 720x480 MPEG2, so definitely check those. (The 9600 All-In-Wonder costs less, but the 9800 All-In-Wonder performs better). Also, an extra feature that they offer is HD capabilities. You can play your Xbox games in beautiful 480p and, I guess, capture them in the same mode. Will help you with interlacing and good quality footage as well, but you'd need to buy the appropriate cables as well.
