ERROR - MESSAGE GARBLED - PLEASE RE-TRANSMIT)v(ajin Koji wrote:Kai, you're not a bad guitarist :¬ ]
I've been playing guitar since about November of 2000, when I decided it was hopeless looking for another metal guitar player to replace the one that had just dropped out of my band (to concentrate on his other one), and I was going to have to do it myself. The band broke up soon after that, because my drummer didn't see much of a live future if I was going to be handling guitar in addition to bass and vocals. We were influenced by Slayer and Hypocrisy, not Helmet.)v(ajin Koji wrote:What's your set up? How long have you been playing? etc
I've been playing bass since December 1997, and I actually have some training on that instrument. Hence, I can play something with some meaning to it.
Gear setups used for this recording were:
Carvin Groove Tools 7-string guitar
BC Rich Platinum Series [bolt-on] Mockingbird 4-string bass
damaged Dean Markley 50-watt 1x8 combo bass amp
Digitech metal pedal
Recording was done with CD-Ex through a pair of earbuds, and noise was cleaned off in Nero Wave Editor. This should be a heads-up to everyone out there who wants to record stuff for this thread: if you have computer speakers or headphones, you can plug them into your soundcard's microphone jack and record stuff. You don't need a real mic, but it will take some time and effort to clean up.

Pretty damn cool; if we get to introduce prior work as well as of-the-moment cuts, look here. It's not as deep as paizuri's catalog, or as well-populated with the playing of real instruments, but oh well.
My assignment for the imminent future is to either learn Death's "Trapped In A Corner" or finish arranging a certain parody song. One or both may show up here by the end of the week.

(Bass) I'm currently working on kataklysm's Ambassador of Pain and wow, this song is so god damn insane... oh well enough of typing up what im going to play, time to play it.
And of course I'm working on the lyrics so i can grow the hell outta them at a local gig in a month, gotta get this band up and going, were just not motivated right now..
