Anyone know where I can find 80's hair band albums?

Post by Toecutter » Sun Dec 05, 2004 4:08 pm

Yes, as scary as it sounds, I like 80's hair bands, preferably Bon Jovi, Winger, Ratt, and Def Leopard. Unforutnately, the local music stores don't have much in the way of the old stuff. In particular, I've been trying to find a greatest hits album from Night Ranger. Anyone have any ideas? And no, I don't like ordering from the web. I prefer all my transactions done in person in cash.

FYE, SunCoast, Best Buy, just to name a few... Also, go into the yellow/pink pages and call the music stores and ask if they sell certain bands, like the ones you're looking for.

/me applauds you for not asking where to download them

don't like ordering from the internet? Don't get into metal. Stick to britney spears and good charolette.

Twisted Sister just released a totally redone version of "Stay Hungry." Heard it on the Eddie Trunks show a bit ago...:)

Oh and Kudos to you for liking big hair bands.

I mostly listen to 80's big hair bands. My favorite would have to be Twisted Sister.

If you want hair-metal, try looking through the cut-out bin.

OH SNAP!!!

But seriously, though. Any major music chain should have CD's from any one of those bands.

Well, the only major music chains we have in the Portland Metro area are Sam Goody and Wherehouse Music, and both of those have a very limited selection. Tower Records went bankrupt or left for other financial reasons some years back. The rest of the music stores in town are all privately owned small businesses, and most can barely stay open.

Though at least with Sam Goody/Suncoast, I can special order the more common cd's.

I found all the 80's crap at cd warehouse. The shelves are dusty and packed with the old shit. Find out if there's one close to where you live.

btw, check out my background.

Hell Yeah!

Frankly I've found old CD's of those bands at almost every musical store I go to.

Just today I saw Guns & Roses. <- A simple example; not saying they're hair metal.

The CD's are everywhere.
