Well for those of you who haven't heard yet, Ken Akamatsu's Negima is being released as an anime in a couple of month's in Japan. Just wondering if anyone's checked out the promo and have any opinions or expectations from the anime?
I'm hoping it stays true to the manga, but I doubt it. My only problems with the anime are the same as my problems with the Love Hina anime:
-Characters are chubbified (Ken's drawings are sharp and angled but as usually the animated characters are more "rounded")
-Shapes of eyes aren't like Ken's styled eyes. Eyes also glow a freakish color for some reason.
-Although Negi is a 10 year boy, I think his voice is a bit more high pitched than a normal boy's would be.
Hopefully Negima the anime will be just as entertaining as Negima the manga.

I just wonder how they'll deal with the large amount of female characters.
It'll probablly end up with only a few focused on heavily, or each girl getting main spotlight in certain episodes.
