Frankly though, since most people that know me are used to me being over-thoughtful, reserved and 'mysterious' or something, I'm sure if I were suddenly to be honest and verbal about my sexual interests I would immediately be accused of being shallow, which I may not neccesarily want to be

Obviously, men are visually stimulated. Hence the visual fanservice.

Men may *Ahem* stand up *Ahem* to some service but that doesn't necessarily mean that they want to see the fan service

Ya know, mabey girls do like similar things in guys as guys do in girls but, mabey they're just less open about it, around guys at least. One thing people have to realise however is that theirs a difference between someone you'd want to have sex with and someone you'd want to go out with and get to know beter. Like i said before, for men sexual attraction is easy. As long as a girl looks decent then chances are they would have sex with her if given the chance. For someone you actualy want to get to know beter however, its different. And alot harder to find someone that "fits". Maby its the same for girls, mabey its different. But everyone has hormones which react generaly to the same areas of the body.

This is a much better statement because we guys don't necessarily go for the fanservice and prefer how the character acts. Personally, most favorite anime girls aren't the best in looks (breasts, waist, etc.). Asuka's personality is what made me a fan.

maby the reson why there isnt as much male fanservise as there is female because women are as complcated as you all say. maby men just have simpiler wants in the oposite sex that anime creators dont try very hard for the females.

Actually I think it would mainly have something to do with the fact that anime in general has a larger male audience pool.

I said anime "IN GENERAL". Shojo may be a sub genre more appealing to girls, but it's still to a smaller number of the audience group...not to mention a lot of guys like to watch it too.
