The files that DVD2AVI is producing aren't coming with Audio

Post by EvaXephon » Fri Oct 22, 2004 1:23 pm

I'm trying to rip a scene from a VOS file using DVD2AVI. I can rip the video just fine, but the video isn't coming with any audio. I load up the video file in TMPGEnc, but no sound comes with it, and no audio file automatically loads.

I noticed that there was an Audio option on DVD2AVI. I toyed around with it, but, no settings produced any audio for my video. A sort of audio file did appear, but TMPGEnc isn't doing anything with it, or accepting it as a useable file.

Anyone have any advice?

Doesn't DVD2AVI have a "Demux to WAV" option somewhere? That's what you want.

I see two options named 'Demux' and 'Demux all tracks' under the options for Dolby Digital and MPEG Audio, but no 'Demux to WAV'.

Will 'Demux' and/or 'Demux all tracks' serve the same purpose as 'Demux to WAV'?

Sorry, I'm thinking of VDubMod.

Yeah, "Demux" should do the job. But since I've not used it myself in quite a while, try changing the Dolby Digital setting to "Decode" if it doesn't work.

...That worked!
