Most Logical Solution to a vague problem

Post by Radman » Sun Oct 03, 2004 3:29 am

I followed the "How to Make an AMV" guide to the pixel, and my new music video looks perfect! At least... almost perfect. Sometimes it seems somewhat choppy, as in the video doesn't move smoothly, but rather does little "jumps" sometimes. This seems to be especially prevalent during action sequences and/or when the frames are changing rapidly. I know its not my computer being slow, so what is it?

I know the problem is vague. But with the AMV guide as a basis, what could be the most probable source of error?

P.S. I saw the term "MPEG artifcating" somewhere. What does it mean exactly :? ?

Hmm, it appears I was downing my 29.97fps vid to 23.97fps. Go figure :?

However, I still don't knkow what MPEG artifacting means...

mpeg artifacting has to do with the video qaulity when the video looks blocky.
