Of course, you may need to change the filename since it always defaults to "download.php.whatever video format"Tsunami Jones wrote:Not for direct links, which Scintilla has a few of. If you're having problems, try right-clicking on the direct link and go to "save as" and see if that works.
I don't know if this has been asked before but

When the Save Target As... dialog box comes up, simply change the filename to something you want, making sure it has the proper extension.

And angelx03, I don't think I've had filenames default to download.php.* for many months now (if ever - my memory is fuzzy). (If it makes a difference, I use Opera.)

I tested downloading a Direct link using right-click on Internet Explorer, and I got the filename that I wanted. It doesn't seem to work with Firefox though.Scintilla wrote: And angelx03, I don't think I've had filenames default to download.php.* for many months now (if ever - my memory is fuzzy). Well, that's what an INDIRECT link is. Please re-read what all of the different types are. As a new member, you're free to download any DIRECT or INDIRECT links you come across. Be aware, however, that these links are initially set-up and maintained by the individual editors, themselves; if something doesn't work, contact them... we can't help you.vegeta120688 wrote:I tried what you said to do and when i went to open it, it took me to the website that made it
Also, if you respond with grammatically-poor sarcastic responses, I highly doubt you'll get many more helpful suggestions.

Yes. That's. What. An. Indirect. Link. Is.vegeta120688 wrote:Well I goto the indirect direct links and it takes me to THEIR website.
You're "indirectly" taken to the video link via that person's website. On that website there will be a link to a video that you can download. And if not, contact that person, because they're the ones who set it up.
