um i got this 9 min. video made and done, tons of footage, lots of eye candy, is named Random Glory, but there's a problem. its simply too big. like 150 mb too big. so would makin it into two vids tied together cure this poison? like its a pain in the shmegeggy eh? but i mean one 9 min vid spliced in half to make the file size more conveinent eh? but its such a good vid, although its so random with footage is crazy and stuff, i just need help, like should i keep this project goin or not, i mean havin two vids make up one whole video, is it worth it?

A 9 minute video at slightly higher/tweaked compression settings should fit in 100 mb. There are plenty of longer songs on the .org server....

um yeah its a nine minute vid, but its guna have two parts to it, um like two videos making it into one whole video. its about 150 mb long, tons of stuff, really random, its in the works, gots lots of anime, video game, images, you name it, not for the kinda amv-viewer who loves non-random stuff if you know what i mean. but ya its guna be likely called Random Glory Part 1 of 2 and the other video will be rightfully called Random Glory Part 2 of 2, and so forth. Its actually a remix of two songs i made with my friend, and it turned out well, and yeah most of the footage is from videos initially from this site, but the music remix is ultimately mine lol, so look foward to it in the future, at the rate its goin i got the last minute and half to rap up and a ton of synchrinization for it too; because people love that synchrinization lol, and that's the key in this video, peace out until then

No, really; you might appreciate the opportunity to learn about compression, anyway. One of the crucial things is probably to resize the video to a more manageable resolution, and use smart compression (like 2-pass XviD for instance).

Sometimes resizing isn't even neccesary (/reminded of how my own 7.5 minute vid fit into 70mb @ 720x400 - though there is a little catch to that)

Don't forget to compress the audio too, I've seen far too many videos that had crappy video quality with uncompressed audio; the audio data usually ended up taking up far more space that the video data...
