Cinelerra (for Linux).

Other than that, I have no idea.

I think someone said that Magix was either below a hundred or in the low hundred range.

Indeed. Movie Edit Pro 2004 is either $80 or $70, depending on if you want to download it from them or have it shipped to you.

Best Buy has video editing software on sale this week (Sep 21), all for around $70-$80 each after rebates:

* Vegas Movie Studio + DVD
* Magix Movie Edit Pro 2004
* Pinnacle Studio 9

Although the Vegas set advertises with DVD authoring, the other two also have limited capabilities for making DVDs.

Check the company Web sites for details and comparisons.
