Mysterious Music Video Missing Codec

Final Fantasy X Amv - Evanescene - Bring Me To Life (Perfekt Quality).mpg

I downloaded this a few days ago via P2P. The AMV in the title has me thinking that it came from here, but I haven't been able to find it. Or at least I don't have enough clues as to who made it. What I want to know is what codec is used for the video.

File Details are as follows:
Size: 184.32MB (I kid you not. Perfekt [sic] Quality is right.)
Length: 4:04
Sound Codec: MPEG-1, Layer 1 (According to Winamp)
Sound Bitrate: 224kb/s
Video Dimensions: 720x480

And that's where it leaves me with nothing else.
If you could help me out, I'd be greatly appreciative.

Can you open it in VirtualDub(/Mod)? If you can, it should tell you under File --> File Information.

I'd imagine it's an MPEG-1 file, from the file name and the audio stream. Does it not playback or something?
