I was just thinking of how interesting it would be to see a DDR video involving Vegas video (mostly because that allows the overall preview thing) Where the clips are flying through like in DDR and the editor is trying to sync them properly...if they do well, the result is a neat looking video that plays in the preview pane, but if they suck then the result is some amatuerish monstrosity...
Getting the think about it, I don't think it would be all that difficult...obviously more work than your standard clips synced with music...
Interesting DDR Idea.

hmmm. Well, Come to think of it, you could use Premiere as well, matching the color of the video tracks to the color on the PS game pad...but anyway...
You would have your home screen, with the video preview pane at the lower right. And then in the traditional style the video clips would start drifting up from the bottom of the screen...naturally since it isn't interactive you would just have them do...whatever it is the arrows in ddr normally do when you do it right (I actually haven't played it at all, just seen little clips of it)
anyway, once the clips were actually set in motion, the video would appear in the preview pane, reflecting what the "Player" is doing. So naturally if they are doing well, the video looks good...if they aren't doing well the video looks bad.
In addition to that, you could also make it so...I dunno, part of the way through when the song changes, new footage is selected...
I don't think I am the person to do it at all obviously, other wise I'd keep the idea to myself but since a) I've never played DDR, b) I don't have any DDR tracks and C) I really have no desire to do the video...But I figured..."There might be somebody, some buckaroo, just crazy enough to try it"
