Lossy editing codecs...a question.

Post by devilmaykickass » Sat Aug 07, 2004 2:47 pm

Ok, well I was wondering is there a codec thats lossy, that I could use for my ripped clips to edit with, but won't end up distroying the quality on my final export? I ask this because I lack the disk space for HuffYUV on all my files, unless I shrink the resolution down, but then that kinda defeats the purpose. :/

i just use low quality (as in, 256kb cbr, no fancy crap like multi-pass encoding or any filtering) divx files, then bait and switch with vob's.
