No I didn't do the one to Runaway and...god I thought it was a horrible AMV myself.

Anyways, it's interesting me because although you guys constantly complain about the surplus of DBZ and the like, you take the drug yourselves

My first real video (Which is currently uploading to the database) features the Iced Earth song "Angel's Holocaust". The anime I used was "Evangelion"(the sereis), and the "End Of Evangelion" movie. I made with Windows Movie Maker, so the quality is not all that great. Plus, as stated above, this is my first AMV and I really don't know much about creating AMV's. So, I used the most simplest means possible. What I did, was I scavanged through the DVD collection I have and decided to use the scenes that went best with the song. It was very diffucult because Angel's Holocaust is a very complicated song. Trying to match scenes to the opening chants was not an easy task. I decided that the best Anime out of my collection that would fit the song the best, was Evangelion. The other two that I have, Sailor Moon and Escaflowne didn't really fit the song all that well. Evangelion matched it perfectly. The song was dark, and the Anime was dark.

My first attempting at an AMV was a Love Hina video to Billy Joel's "Sometimes a Fantasy." But I made it with fansubs so I never premiered it. I'm saving up for the DVD's now because of other ideas but once I get them, I think I'm gonna fix this one and premiere it. I like the concept but now that I have a better idea of what I'm doing I can definately improve on it.

My first premiered AMV was an Evangelion "chick flick" (I guess) to "Me vs. The World" that I made last summer. At this point I had WMM2 (as opposed to WMM1) and I learned a number of tricks with it. I actually don't think the vid sucks though. I still like it a year later.

After making another Eva video I'm actually now working on two that don't involve NGE. But I'm still a fan of the series so I'll probably still be making them somewhere down the line. And I'm still working with WMM. I'm just getting better at using it.

My first video was a Powerman 5000 "When Worlds Collide" vid set to various anime (mostly rips from the Megaman games, a downloaded Rockman Zero vid, a couple crappy-quality fansubs, and even some AMV footage that I butchered out of a couple videos). Thankfully, I got the DVDs for most of the footage that I used (the DBZ episode and Robotech: The Sentinels is still missing, though) and remastered the thing.

The original was done in July 2002 and was edited with VirtualDub only. The only technique I used was matching the clips to each other, and disregarding the music except for the opening, closing, and one shot in the middle (which is the only place Robotech or that DBZ episode appear; the rest of the footage is from Final Bout).

I am so happy I'm better than that now (although it isn't as bad as some noob vids I've seen)

Actually, nearly everything I've done up to this point has been very much established in my first video - even if the footage wasn't great, and the volume too low! But it did establish my editing style and direction, which, with some improvement, I'm sticking to now.

Dangerous Curves (King Crimson to Initial D)

It was a concept vid of sorts. Really long, but with a good idea to it. The first shots of the video are literally the first cuts I ever placed in an editing program. Scary ending. Even though it's still clearly a 'first vid', I'd say I'm pretty proud of it.
