Just watched it... the opening song has to be one of the worst ever! :lol:

The first episode itself wasn't too bad actually, the animation style was quite fitting. It's just that Poirot seemed to lack a certain charm. I especially missed the lovely akzént from the English TV series.

Agreed--so far, the only character who has actually intrigued me is the personal assistant dude (whatever his name was). The fact that most of the characters bowed in apology or greeting also struck me as culturally wrong (unless the British bow--I always thought of that as an Asian thing). However, it did, in fact, feel like Christie's short stories read, which is always a good thing. I'm hoping that they keep it relatively light and innocent and fan-service free, since it would probably make a good kid's show over here.
