Well, I don't know about now with my total lack of bandwith, but previously - local was a guarantee of 300kb/sec. Indirect/direct - I'd often be lucky to get a 40. Go figure

It has also been my experience that people like high quality versions better (and who wouldn't with high speed connections becoming more widespread these days?). As far as direct... when faced with a choice of one click vs. having to login, and then bring up the video again, and then download.... I always go for the one click =) Besides, I couldn't fit my high quality version on the org anyway because it was 100+ megs, so I had no choice but to go direct.
