Well, I've decided that the growing popularity of anime and manga are absolutely useless to me, because I couldn't find Kare Kano volume 10 despite there being 4 manga-equipped stores in my area.
Look at all my trials and tribulations
Sinking in a gentle pool of wine.
Don't disturb me now, I can see the answers
'Till this evening is this morning, life is fine.

Sadly, I live in a little out of the way town, so I have to drive 30mins - 45 mins to get anything of culture at all. We have... a real post office now. Woo hoo. Lame. But at leas some places I can go have a pretty good manga selection. Like in San Antonio. They've finally devoted a HUGE area in some of the stores strictly to manga. Good ones, even. And... hentai in full view. O_o TokyoPop has been able to produce a few good TV commercials, even, so you KNOW it's getting popular.
In some ways, I think it's cool that our little subculture is seeing the light of day, and in other ways I feel like "This is MINE! Now everyone's gonna know about it and it's not gonna be special anymore...
" Oh, well, I'd like to look on the bright side of it!
