I still don't get why they change the title mid series. It's still Sekai no Senki, and it makes labeling a pain.

I do like the series a lot though. Even considered cosplaying as Jinto. (Went with gunparade instead)

As long as they spell her name Lafiel, and not Laphir, I'm happy enough I suppose.
The sword, it thirsts to drink of man,
The sword at last must win,
Today is gone, and yesterday,
Must echo in the wind.

But it's not. The first season (Crest) was Seikai no Monshou, the second (Banner) was Seikai no Senki, and the third (Banner II) was Seikai no Senki II.

For the name change, I'll bet that it was to follow the titles of the books that the series are based on. There are six of them, two trilogies entitled Seikai no Monshou and Seikai no Senki. The first three books have the subtitles Teikoku no Oujo ("Princess of the Empire"), Sasayakana Tatakai ("A Small Battle"), and Ikyou he no Kikan ("Return to the Unfamiliar World"). The second set have the subtitles Kizuna no Katachi ("The Shape of Links"), Mamoru Meki Mono ("What One Should Protect"), and Kazoku no Shokutaku ("Family Dinner").

With manga companies starting to buy the rights to and translate novels that anime or manga series are based on (CLAMP Paranormal Investigators, Slayers, etc.), I think (and hope) we'll see the Seikai novels on this side of the ocean in a year or two.

Crest and Banner are two of my favorite shows. I tried watching them when they were on Tech TV, but I kept missing the first episodes, so I took a leap and just bought them on DVD. Very good TV. If the books come out here I might pick them up.

Beware of the dubs. For reference, Jinto's not supposed to sound thirty when the character's only 17!

I'm sure my Banner DVDs are real. However, the first disc of Crest has the same ending credits for each episode, the ones that show Jinto's past. So I'm a little suspect of them.

You misunderstand. I'm simply saying the dubbing is horrible.
